Tip of the Month
Pumpkin for Constipation
If your cat or dog has occasional constipation, hard stools, or diarrhea, a bit of canned, puréed pumpkin mixed in the pet's food can help make stools looser or firmer. Start with one-eighth of teaspoon for cats, and more for dogs, depending on their size. Work up to one to two teaspoons if necessary. Exercise and drinking more water may also help.
If the condition lasts for more than a day or two or happens often, take your pet to a veterinarian.
