Older Dogs and Mental Sharpness
Older dogs may lose some brain function. To help your older dog stay mentally sharp, introduce new activities and games, and provide him with new toys. Even a change in routine such as a new walking route or park can provide mental stimulation. In addition, supplemental antioxidants may provide some protection for the aging brain. Older dogs should also see a veterinarian every six months for a checkup or whenever any changes are observed.

In Kenya, researchers analyzed chemicals in the tail hair of elephants wearing radio collars to track their diet and movements. The results are to aid in land use planning to help reduce conflicts between elephants and humans.
